Bubble Chart displaying data in a weird way

    Hello

I was having a problem with a bubble chart and a scatter plot. I have a data series (3 metrics = X values, Y values and size)of about 1000+ points. WHen i use around 0-600 points both the charts look fine, but when i use 1000+ it displays the data in a very weird way (I believe it just uses the x axis as as the number of points when I specifically provide it with X values to use) and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how it can be fixed? Thanks and do let me know!

    Just a quick addition.

When the number of values that I use is less than say 800, the scatterplot and bubblechart that I use both turn out fine, but now that I have 1500+ values, both charts do not work and the X axis is being show as the number of values (aka 1 , 2 , 3 ) rather than the x values that I have supplied. Anyone know whats wrong?

Check all the values are real numeric values.
The axis will default to 1,2,3... linear progression if any 1 of the data points is text.

is this also the case if there are any blank values?

Depends what your definition of a blank value is.

If the cell is truely empty then the chart should treat it as not having a data value.

If your cell contain formula and you return "" ,meaning it displays as blank, then you need to use NA() instead.

thanks again for the reply, I meant lets say that I have a y value but not an xvalue, will it still revert to linear progression?

THanks again youve been really helpful!

If the cells are truely empty then a missing x or y or both will not affect the scale. The point will simply not appear.
