please help with formating axis as hours rather than line nunbers

Hi

I'm using excel 2007 on windows 7

My dataset takes meter readings at 10 second intervals over 24 hours thats 8k+ lines per day

Id like my chart horizontal axis to show the time in hours.

I've got as far as getting the axis markers to show hours and half hours with line numbers against each hour but don't know how to convert the line numbers into 0 to 24 hour text?

help would be apreciated

use xy-scatter rather than line.

If you need further help post example workbook rather than pictures.

the scatter chard dosen't work for me

XY scatter works but you do need to tell it the X values otherwise it will simply default to an incremental count like a line chart.
