    Slicing and pivot tables

    Hello,
    I have a 2 part question.

    #1
Can a slicer be put on a table or chart? Or can it only go on a picot table?
It looks just like a pivot table. But I wanted to check.

Say I have data like this

Please Login or Register to view this content.
My completed data is already in the running total. (From my data source)

If I was going to create a pivot table,
I have Project as my report filter
I have Date as Row Labels
Now what could I do for my values?

I would just like the number in my table.
But completed in values gives sums or count.

When my completed is already the running total.
Is there any way to just use the value?

    thanks
