High-low lines for 2 series in 1 diagram

    Dear Forum

I try to make a figure as the one showed below. I use Excel 2007.
    TaskTime.gif

    My problem is the following:
I have created 2 series of the mean (displayed as a column in the diagram), the minimum and the maximum value - 1 for each candidate and for each task.
When I try to illustrate this in a diagram and add high-low lines to the min/max values for each candidate and each task, these min/max values aren't placed on the corresponding mean columns. Instead they're graphed in between the 2 columns for each task. I.e. all min and max values are placed on one vertiacal line instead of two for each task.
You can see how my diagram looks:

Does anybody know how to solve my problem?

    Thank you in advance!

Add Error bars rather than hi-lo lines

Re: High-low lines for 2 series in 1 diagram

Thank you, it almost solved my problem.
However, I'm not able to choose individual "high" and "low" values for each column. I have to select a given length of my line that is either specified with regard to a given value, per cent or standard deviation of the series for each person. For instance I would like to plot a line with maximum value 78 and minimum 52 for the first column of 1 person but afterwards the maximum value is 70 and minimum value is 40 for the same person.
Do you know how to handle that as well?

Use the custom Error values. This allows you to select plus and or minus values from cells.
