    Help on making a chart with cells no value but fill color only -

    Hi, my data in excel has no values, but are color coded (fill color), my question is how am I able to chart it. Here's the scenario. I have four rows, Green, Yellow, Red and Black, columns are each day of the calendar. Each color has a meaning, so I want to graph it (line graph probably) that will show the trend on a daily basis. Thanks. I have tried line graphs with no success or am I doing it wrong........

    You will need to put numbers in the cells that have colour in order to chart them.

    You can use CF to colour the cells. Assign a value to each colour
    Green=4
    Yellow=3
    Red=2
    Black=1

    You can get conditional formatting to automatically apply, well actuall remove, colour from the cells.
    So for the Red row, once the values are applied, set the fill colour to red. The apply Conditional formatting setting the fill to no colour for values not equal to 2.
