Hey guys,
Here goes. I've created a dashboard (see for an example the business case I attached) using search strings collecting data from multiple pivot tables. The original data is sorted and prepared in MS Access so I have a good table to use for the pivot tables.
I've tried to make it dummy prove: a user van type the organisation name he/she wants a dashboard of in cell V1 in the first tab.
The search strings try to look up the values connected to the organisation in the other tabs and display the value in the right hand part of tab1: dashboard.
The left hand part displays the value either in a graph or a table.
It works and is pretty dummy prove!
Anyways.. now I have to add a date filter (as there can be multiple projects for a single organisation). In the source data I have a field called entry date which is the date when a candidate is added to the database.
I have to filter the pivot tables on this entry date in a specific period (eg. from 01-01-2012 to 02-01-2012). I has to be equally dummy prove as typing in the organisation name, so I'd prefer adding cells in the dashboard saying 'from' and 'to'.
Can somebody help me??
PS: any feedback on how I make the dashboard is very welcome!
