Using INDIRECT to put a Dynamic Named Range in a chart Data Source

    Hello,

I am trying to use INDIRECT in order to place the name of a Dynamic Named Range into the Data Source text box of a Chart. The reason I would like to use INDIRECT is because I have several (up to 12) charts on each sheet (one sheet for each of the 12 months. The data layout will be identical for each sheet and the names of the Dynamic named ranges will be based on column headings. The INDIRECT will call a named range based on the name of the tab (e.g. January) and the column heading (e.g. Average Lows).

I am trying something like this, but it doesn't work:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Where B10 is the column heading that contains the title of the Named Range

Please See the Attached file (due to the file size limit, I only included January and February Data).

The sheet labeled "January Data" is where I am having trouble (I plan to add the rest of the months once January is figured out). The first chart at the bottom uses the named range entered in manually. The chart to the right of that is my "test" chart to test the INDIRECT method.

    Thanks
    Mark

No one knows? Does that mean it is not possible?

    FDibbins,

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my OP, the formula and the subject B10 is on the sheet named "January Data".

    Thanks again,

    Mark
