    graph gradients

Hi, I just can't figure out why when having a scatter graph the gradient given from the y=mx+c fromula is one value in which, then when using the same curve but change the format to an area graph, the value of the gradient changes. Is there any explanation to this.??

    Thanks.

    Re: graph gradients

Because the area graph is not a scatter graph. Area graph x-values are not really x-values, just index numbers I think. Something like that anyway.
