Pivot - Pivot Filter Drop Down Out of Order

I have a series of filters on my pivot table. When I aggregate data to the pivot any new items the filter will place the new item at the bottom of the filter drop down. When I first created the pivot all items were in alpha-numeric order, now all the new items are at the bottom. Anyone have a solution or can they point me to a thread or site with a solution?
