Question Apply same pivot style to new data

    Hi there

I am working with pivot charts to analyze some large sets of data from SAP. Now I have several data sets I need to analyze individually, but they all come in the same format.

I would like to speed up the process and not have to create a new pivot table each time. I have tried copying the pivot table I am happy with to a new workbook with new data, but I was not able to find out how I could change the link between the copied pivot table and the old data so that it would use the new data instead..

Do you know if there is a simple solution to this? Ideally something like a format painter ?

    Cheers

if you copy a pivot table you can alter its data source by selecting a cell within it and pressing alt+dp then stepping back through the wizard

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to
