Scatter Chart Time (Y) vs Date (X)

Team, I've search and can't find my answer again. I had this charted 1x but lost my hard drive, so need help to refigure this out please.
I simply want to plot time vs date ....so I can show IT when their files are coming in. I am sure it is not that difficult, but when I change the major units to 0.0146666666 as I saw in one example it total messes up the dates.

if someone can assist, I would greatly appreciate the guidance ~ hope the attachment shows, I need to show them their files are coming in much later. please help Thanks Lori

    Hi blori,

That was because your date and time are in text format.. now I have corrected them.. see the attached file :-

this is awesome, except how do I make the dates match what in actually being plotted. My date range = 8/8 -10/16, the chart is showing January

Re: Scatter Chart Time (Y) vs Date (X)

Time varies from from 0 to 1 only and all day is covered in between. for example 12 AM is 0 and 6 PM is 0.75

As a test put following and you'll see difference
    Min:-0.15
    max: 0.5

Re: Scatter Chart Time (Y) vs Date (X)

I would suggest you to expand the height of the chart and set everything to auto..
Also as an option try showing less data.. may be 12:AM to 6 AM and then you'll understand and can play around with time scale.. and after that you can refresh you full data once comfirtable.. thanks.
