Bunched data, Need even intervals

Hi everyone. I'm using excel 2008 to make a graph for a titration curve and my data is concentrated around the equilibrium points (i.e. I have a lot of data points around 15 mL and 31 mL) and a lot fewer around other numbers. The intervals between the early numbers are about 1.5 mL each and around the numbers specified the intervals are around 0.1. When I try to graph all of my data, my x-axis ends up having intervals from 0-8 spaced the same as the interval 16-16.55, which is making my pH curve look really funky. Is there a way I can just make ranges of some sort so I have ticks at regular intervals like 10 mL, 20 mL, etc.?

    Thanks!

change the range of the data you are using?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Bunched data, Need even intervals

I'm not sure what you mean. I have data points like @ 1.5 mL ph = 2 and 3 mL ph = 2.1 sequentially, then later 15.6 mL ph = 5.23 and 15.65 ph = 5.34. I need these big jumps to be expressed, but on my x-axis (which has my data for volume) the values go by the data exactly, rather than by an even range, so I end up with my x-axis values reading 0, 8, 13.95, 14.6, 15.35, 16, etc. I want them to be 10, 20, etc. evenly spaced with the data properly "clumped" or what have you. I'm using a scatter plot.

so you want to change the facts to conform to the theory?
    lol

perhaps it would be easier to help you if you uploaded a sample workbook, showing what data you are working with, a few examples of what your expected outcome would be, and how you would arrive at that (remove any confidential info if necessary).
