Highlight the cells which has the same value in the adjecnt cells

Hi,
I had date & time format values in column H,I and i required to highlight the values which is same in both column at a instance but not in over all column. for example,
H I
11/3/2012 14:30 11/3/2012 16:37
11/3/2012 14:30 11/3/2012 14:30
11/5/2012 12:30 11/3/2012 20:57
Here i need to highlight the H2 value and not H1 as the H2 is same as I2 pls help on this..

hi rajansettu, welcome to the forum. you just want to highlight column H? if so, simply select H1:H3. to highlight both column H & I, select H1:I3. press ALT + O + D to get to the Conditional Formatting window. use a custom formula:
=$H1=$I1

Thanks for above and i need to check the sheet 1 from the column C to I with referance of A need to filter the column C first and so on.. will you help me to create a macro for this..
