Sort the information within a filter list alphabetically (not the data in pivot table)

    Hi there,

I'm looking for some help on how to get the information within a filter drop-down list to display alphabetically. Nothing I have tried seems to work. The information that the filter is pulling from is in the 1st column of the data source, and even having that sorted alphabetically doesn't seem to work.

    Example:

I just tried it on my Excel 2010 and the drop down list appears in the order I have on that list.
Can you attach your workbook so we can take a look?

I see that your problem is related to a drop down list from a pivot table. Looking up on the WEB I found the solution. It is only a matter of removing the "Employee" from the report filter , do a "Refresh" of the table and put the "Employee" back in the report filter again. It should now be ordered.
