From action item list Need reports with only actions for recipient parties.

I have an action item list. The column of action items is preceeded by three columns labeled for each possible recipient. Each of those three have an X in them if that particular action is to be sent to that person. I'd like to be able to create three nice charts with only the action items for each particular person. I can think of a quick and dirty way of using IF functions to make the individual reports as separate charts off to one side essentially filtering out the action items that don't belong to that person. Unfortunately that would leave many blank spaces.

I've done some research on pivot tables, and toyed with them, but couldn't figure out how to exploit that. Is that even the right direction? Any suggestions if only a rough direction.

I can't quite picture what charts you have in mind. How can a chart show an action item? Can you possibly post a file with some sample data and mock up the desired chart?
