    Problems with Excel Chart

I am having a couple of difficulties with the attached excel chart. Could someone please take a look and see if they can tell me where I am going wrong. My difficulties are as follows:

    - The columns are really narrow and you can't easily see the data. There seems to be lots of space between the text on the X-axis, but I can't seem to work out how to make use of this space to make the columns wider.

    - I would like to run a line chart along the top of all the columns to show how the peaks rise and fall.

    Many thanks,

    Josh

Yes, that is perfect thank you. How did you do that? I have been trying for 45 minutes. Is there anyway to run a line chart along the top of the columns? When I choose "lines" from analysis it just puts lines all over the place.

    Re: Problems with Excel Chart

Right click on the horizontal axis >> Format Axis >> Axis Options >> Axis Type: Text Axis

When it is set to automatic or date it tries to plot all dates even though they are missing.

As far as a line, not sure what you want to see? Do you want one flat line across or what?

    Re: Problems with Excel Chart

I was trying to get a line that joins all the highs or peaks of the columns. I have attached a quick sketch I did in paint to explain what I mean.
