Question Trying to Emulate Certain Graph Style: Trend w/Measurements Connected Vertically?

I have a weight-tracking application for my Android phone called "Libra".

When it graphs the measurements, the main line is the trend line. Individual measurements are represented by dots that are connected to the trend line by a vertical line. They essentially visually give the appearance of "pulling" the trend line up or down.

This can be seen here: http://www.blogcdn.com/downloadsquad...libra-6719.jpg

Could someone assist me with how I might set such a graph up in Excel?

    Thanks in advance.

You need to get the trendline formula components, using LINEST.
You can then calculate the Y value for the trendline for a give date. Use the difference between trend and actual data points as the value for Y error bars.
