What are you trying to group on?
Whatever it is the problem might lie in the underlying data.

I'm trying to change the Date Grouping I have set it for 2012 and I to change to 2013!
when i right click in the "Months" I get the error!
Sorry I don't understand, theirs no year anywhere on the worksheet.
All there is is text months, which is probably why you can't group.
Do you have full dates in the raw data, or is just the months?
I want to group the months only. Yes I want to group the "text months".
Just right click on the text months then go to grouping you will get starting date and ending date. but the problem now I'm an able to change the starting/ ending dates??
When I right click and select Group... it immediately tells me I can't group on that selection.
If in the original data the months are just text I don't think you can group on them anyway.
PS Of course I'm not linked to the original workbook/sharepoint list/whatever.
The original data “Months” is custom like this "m/d/yyyy/ h:mm

Where did the Month field in the pivot table come from?

Right, I see the Month column.
Remove that from the pivot table and add Created as a column field.
You'll now be able to group on that field.
Can you do it? Please. I didn't get it!
