Rotating Certain Parts of the Axiis Title

    Football Field.JPG

    Hi All,

I was able to manually format the titles of the axis so that the term precedent transaction text is over EV / EBIT and EV EBITDA. I used a text box to do this. Is it possible to do it automatically, without having to use a text box? So basically my question is to be able to rotate certain parts of the axiis titles?

    Thanks!

    Hi Accelerator,

While you can't exactly control the axis, you can for what you want.

You need to group your labels as I have in this sample file:

Grouped Bar Chart Axis Category Labels.xlsx

Please let me know if this helps! Thanks

I tried the same example (with different inputs) and it worked but it won't let me select the vertical axis to format (I can select the horizontal axis). However, in your version it does. This is the dummy data that I used.

    Data
    Jim Joe 100
    Joey 200
    Bob Tim 300

    Hi Amartino44,

    Not sure i completely understand.

Here is what I think your data looks like and I created a stacked bar chart and the Vertical Axis is selectable.

    Test Data.xlsx

Did I set up your data right?

    What version are you using?

Hmmm. Maybe it was because I clicked on F11 and then changed the chart type to bar horizontal. In the file that you sent me I can fiddle with the vertical axis.
