#of patients vs. time of day

I basically have an X and Y and Z variable. X is the day of the month, y is the time of day, and z is the number of patients seen. I am trying to figure out the best way to create a graph to figure out during the month of January, what time of day are we the busiest? I would like to figure out when the most patients are being seen so I know when our hospital needs the most staff. Is there any kind of statistical formula I can use to interpret this data?

Thanks I would really appreciate any help/input!!!

Re: #of patients vs. time of day

I attached my data and what I had attempted to do to graph it, but it just isn't showing a clear enough idea of what i'm trying to convey. I basically just did the sum formula for all the particular times to show how many patients were seen at 8:00 the entire month...then the sum of how many were seen at 8:20 etc. Is there a way to break down each day for January to better show when the most staff is needed?

    thanks!visits by time by day.xls
