Edit data series not working

Hello,
WHen I try to edit a data series, it no longer shows me where the data is coming from. I used to be able to click on each item and it would highlight the source of where it was coming from. Now it doesn't do that I don't know what changed. Any help would be appreciated.

If you did not change anything then I can't see how it all of a sudden stopped working.

Do you have a sample chart you can attach?
