I'm not sure this can even be done but here it goes... I'm making a workbook that tracks employee time off. I have it set that the user selects the benefit type from a drop down list (Vacation, Sick, Holiday) and when they do, that cell changes color based on the type of time off. (image below)

What I want to happen is whatever date the user enters above the benefit type, I want to "seek" the cell with that date in the calendar and change it to the same color as that specific benefit type. (image below)

Any help would be wonderful, even if it's "it can't be done"
