    How to slice the axis

Hi all. I have data with very wide range. When I tried to make a bar chart, some data hardly appear because they has very low value, so that I need to enlarge my graphic in order to make it see clearly. My friend suggested me to cut off (slice) the y-axis at certain points, so that there will be two or more range of axis value. But, unfortunately, both of us don't know how to do it. Anyone can help me? Thank you b4.

John Peltier used to have a broken axis tutorial, but has since replaced it with a tutorial on panel charts http://peltiertech.com/WordPress/bro...n-excel-chart/ See if that will help you.

Re: How to slice the axis

Thank you for your reply. The link that you suggested is very helpful. After I read it, I found that there is a better alternative to display my data than if I cut off the axis. Thank you very much, I really appreciate your help
