Charting information by dates formatted to Calendar weeks in a Linear Timeline

I was tasked with creating a timeline which charts milestones in a linear timeline based on calendar weeks (KW). I did some digging around and found a template which did most of what I was looking for. I entered the custom user defined function, which I found online, in VBA to give me the ISO calendar weeks. However, I run into one of two problems:

1-if I chart the data by KW, the chart reads the KW as text and not as a date. It graphs the values in order of each occurrence in the table. Therefore, if I was to enter two milestones in the same calendar week, it will chart them as two separate values.

2-If I chart the data by date, I cannot format the x axis to calendar weeks (KW's). There is no format, built in or custom, I can find which will format a date to KW, i.e. date of 5/1/13 to KW 18.

I need the file to act as a template because my projects have different a number of milestones along with different beginning to end timing. So I unfortunately cannot "no fill" the chart and ditch the axis to build timing underneath the chart.

I am not emotionally attached to any of this formatting or this template so...
Any suggestions on things to change or even if someone could point me in a direction, I would appreciate it. I've been working on this for a week and I feel like I have hit a dead end.
