Bubble Chart Colour Change

Hi,

I'm looking to put together an Excel Bubble Chart, where it measures importance on a scale of 20 against confidence on a scale of 30 in a survey I've put together, with the bubbles overlayed representing a third value of "willingness" on a scale of 10.

I have attached my working excel sheet, and I want to understand how instead of the bubbles being different sizes, to instead be different shades of red. But still show the person's name on top of the bubble.

Dark red: 7 - 10 willingness
Medium Red: 4 - 6 willingness
Light red: 1 -3 willingness

Any help would be appreciated.

You can add 3 extra series, using formula to determine values used.
The original series can be used to link Names to data labels.

Thank you - this is really helpful, my only remaining question is whether it is possible to keep the bubbles all the same size?

If you want the bubbles the same size then simply set the size value to a fixed value.

And if you are not concerned about varying bubble sizes you can simply use a xy-scatter.
