Count number of bubbles in each quadrant

I use a pivot table as base for my bubble graph and at the moment my axis intersect at pre set values but I might in the future change this to update according to the average of the time period chosen.
But, right now I have a number of bubbles, let's say that there are 100 (this number varies depending on chosen factors in the pivot), 20 of them are above the X axis and to the right of the Y axis, 30 of them are above the X-axis and to the left of the Y-axis, etc.

Is there a simple way to display underneath the graph how many bubbles are in each quadrant?

Thnks in advance you all mighty Excelgurus!

    Hi

assuming your X/Y data is in cells C20:D40 the following function will count the bubbles in the top right quadrant.
.... You just need to amend the >< criteria for specifying the other 3 quadrants.

    =SUMPRODUCT((C20:C40>0)*(D20:D40>0))
    Elegant Simplicity............. Not Always
