Question how to do error bars in auto-updating charts

    Hi
I have some time series scatter plots which self-update (using names in the data series formula, which are defined using the OFFSET and COUNT functions). I need to add custom error bars to these data series but can not see how to do it so the error bars will auto-update as well. Excel does not seem to like me putting names in the forms used to specify the location of the error values so I'm baffled how to do this.

Setting the Custom error bar range to a named range works for me.

In the attached the second chart will react to changes in strart and length.

    Many Thanks Andy
With the knowledge that it's possible, I've got it going now. For some reason I had to add file and worksheet references to the names, even though the names are defined for the Workbook, but it works. Thanks, much appreciated.
