Trying to graph a gradient in degrees

Right, what I'm specifically trying to do is create a graph that will visually represent an ASIN gradient based on the numbers from user input. The specific purpose of this is to show the grade (angle in degrees) of a line of a hill.

    For example, a change of elevation of 2044 feet over 2.1 miles is roughly an 18% grade (Elevation(feet) / Distance(feet)) * 100

I've got the formulas set up and spitting out the right numbers, but what I don't know how to do is make a graph show the 18 degree line correctly, Assuming 0 degrees is flat land and 90 would be a cliff. Essentially what I'm looking to get is a dynamic protractor that adjusts itself based on the values the user would put in.

A walkthrough on this would be helpful because I don't know excel very well at all.

    Thanks.

Yeah I tried that, when I adjust the horizontal scale it's showing me a nearly vertical line.

Ok, I changed the horizontal scale to 90(representing degrees) and I most definitely got an 18 degree angle... now I just need to figure out to make that angle horizontal rather than vertical.. simply flipping the axis values didn't work... suggestions?

And I do believe I have figured it out - leave horizontal axis on auto and set vertical to have symmetrical positive and negative values.

This is actually useful because then one can enter a negative altitude as well.

Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction.

Actually I got it to show the correct angle for the supplied data, but I'm not getting it to do correct angles for different values I plug in... I think I'm going to abandon trying to have it generate a visual aid.
