    Stacked Bar Chart

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to work with stacked bar charts in Excel 2007. I start out with a set of data that looks like this:
    excel_01.png
Then I go to Insert > Charts > Column, select my data, and here are the results:
    excel_02.png
So far, so good. Now, suppose I have another group of help desk ticket data similar to the one in the first screen shot:
    excel_03.png
I could just create another stacked bar chart, but instead I want to take the second set of data and place it in the first bar chart. In effect, I'm looking to merge these two stacked bar charts. How would I go about doing that? Thanks!

If you are doing what I think you are doing....just put your new data right below your old data and then your can choose select data when right clicked and change the data range....HTH....

    Re: Stacked Bar Chart

Hi Ernest: The issue is that no matter how I arrange the data in my worksheet, the bar chart doesn't come out looking quite the way I want.
For example, consider this worksheet containing 3 months worth of tickets:
    excel_04.png
When I try to make a stacked bar chart, I end up with this:
    excel_05.png
What I'm really looking to do (if it is possible) would be to place January, February, and March side-by-side-by-side within each ticket category so that, for example, there would be 3 stacked columns under EDI-DQ, 3 stacked columns under EDI-3rd Party, etc.
