Pivot table counts empty cells with if statement (formulas) - I need pivot to skip it

    Hi Everyone,

This forum is really helpful. Thank you.

I created pivot table and it counts all the cell that has the formula in it, even though result is empty cell.

My question: How do I make pivot table not to count empty cells?

I have a column with users and I made the formula so it shows empty cell if no user in the range, but pivot counts empty cell and therefor inflates the total users.

Thank you all for you help.

An easy thing you could do is add a column that has a 1 or 0 in the row whether you want to count it or not. (You can use a formula to put the 1 or 0 in that row depending on whether or not you want it to count that particular row). Then in the pivot table have it SUM not COUNT that column.

De-Select the 0 in the pivot table.

Since you don't add the excel example without confidentional information, I can't show you.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.
