Dynamic Chart: Variable Y-Axis Number Format?

    Hello:

I have a dynamic line chart based on several sets of data.

The user selects which data set are graphed from a menu and enters the start and end dates.

The horizontal x-axis are the dates

The vertical y-axis are the number values from the data. Depending on which set of data are selected, the numbers could be percentages, whole numbers, or dollars and cents.

How can I have the number format of the vertical y-axis automatically adjust so it is the appropriate format for the chosen set of data?

    Thank you,

Your dynamic data needs to reference the cells with the formatting applied.

It will not pickup any formatting based in conditional formatting.

How have you set up your dynamic chart?

Thanks for your response. I have a CHARTDATA sheet set up with blocks of data for each metric. Users select the metric they want from a pull-down menu on a CHART sheet and enter the start and end dates for the range they want.

I then use the OFFSET function to pull the chosen set of data into the area of the sheet on which the dynamic chart is based.

    Thanks,

You will need to change the approach so the data reference is the data with the relevant number formatting.

I have the similar issue. I have a dynamic chart with check buttons. How can I automatically adjust data labels automatically with appropriate formatting.
