    Pivot not grouping properly

This is the most infuriating problem. I have been keeping this same grid for years. For whatever reason, I got some new data for 5/12/13 and now the pivot table is not grouping it properly. Basically, there are 4 column headers. Either X, C, O or R. If you pick any of the other dates, everything is fine. If you add in the 13th, instead of 4 columns there are 8. There becomes 2 of each letter. I checked the formatting and everything looks uniform. I attached the grid. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Check the length of the NeXt_Day_Status field, it includes a space for the new data records.

Holy mess! I can't believe I missed that. Thanks. Follow up question though. If this is the way that the report will be given to me from now on, is there a way to either reformat all existing records to match the new format or to reformat the new records quickly. In the interest of time, today I just had to go one by one and delete the extra space. I would like to avoid doing that everyday if possible.

Well for that field you could simply use Find/Replace.

Or you may need to use formula to clean the data using functions such as TRIM and CLEAN

Starting from row 20011 you have extra space get rid of it and you should be ok.
