    One-to-Many Relationships using PowerPivot

Excel 2013 Powerpivot Issue: I have two tables that have been uploaded into the PowerPivot Data Module and Im trying to establish a relationship between the two tables.

The goal is creating a One-to-Many Relationship so I can cross analyze data.

Prior to uploading to PowerPivot, I have created a new calculated column called "Key" where I create a Composite Key to each table so both tables can relate. Next, I upload them into the PowerPivot Data Module which then I create the relationships. Once complete, I pushed out a Pivot Table and insert a field into row and a value from table 1 into the value field.

Then in the same pivot table fields I select Table 2 and insert a different field in the value box. This is where I detect the values being duplicated. This is due to a missing relationship established.

Excel then tells me it cannot recognize any relationship established. Please Help.

Can you post the workbook so we can see the exact details of the setup?

Thanks team. I was able to solve this by uploading my Data into Sharepoint lists. Then created a Query from sharepoint to extract this data into a PowerPivot Module. from there I created the relationship and it works.
