Add Sequence as a calculated field or item in pivot table

    Hello,

This must be very advanced although simple to do it. I want to create a pivot table from a large set of data, and I would like to add a calculated field or item that provides the sequence. For example, if the pivot shows 25 lines, then the field would start with 1 and end with 25. I know it may be easy to do out of the pivot, but wanted to get advanced users advice on how to do this within the pivot table. The data should look like this:

    ID Product
    1 A
    2 B
    3 C

    Thanks for the inputs.

if the ID column has to be the first column I don't think you can do it in the pivot table

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to

Thanks so much for your answer, if it does not have to be the first column, then is there anything that I can do?

here is an example. it has a calculated field called ID that uses a simple =1 formula and is set to display as a running total in the 1st field
