error message when creating pivot table

I am getting the following error message when I make my pivot table....The pivot table field name is not valid. To create a pivot table report, you must use data that is organized....

I have checked to make sure I have no un-named columns, no empty columns or rows. I must be forgetting something -

how about merged cells?....especially at the column name rows

Have you saved the file? PT's sometimes get funny and wont work with un-saved files

aahh wait, do you have text in ALL the headings??

I do have text in all headings - I can't upload file - private data

I have even tried to copy the info from one sheet to another completely clean sheet and I am still getting the error

just for fun....turn your data into a table and then create the PT....there may be something weird in the column names and when you create a table it may fix it....just a thought....

I know you said your data is private, but can you replace it with dummy info and then upload? Otherwise all we are doing is guessing - and I dont know about judge, but I am about out of guesses lol
