How to plot multiple 2D data sets where the category of the set is defined in a 3rd column

    Hello,

I have multiple data sets of the following form, where the x, y values are arbitrary values and the category of the data set is given in a separate column. Each category has a few hundred data points in it and i have around 5 or so categories. Any advice on how to plot this data? I have been doing so manually using "Select Data" but this is a very slow way of doing it and I have an endless amount of these data sets that need graphing. Any help is very much appreciated.

    Category, x-value, y-value
    1, x, y
    1, x, y
    2, x, y
    2, x, y
    3, x, y

You need to build a table of charting data using formula to select correct category Y values.
