Looking for cool graph ideas to track progression

Was wondering if anyone has any reference links or ideas for graphs.

I am trying to build a graph that will track our progression (rolling out a six stage process in order to improve internal operations). Once we hit a certain stage or checkpoint, I want the graph / gadget to raise.

I am using Excel 2013. Any creative and cool ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have a attached a simple example of what it would look like. Once we 'check the box', the graph would change. Eventually when we checked the last box, the graph would be complete.
