Excel 2010 not displaying all X-axis labels

    Hi

I am having the same problem (129 entries, Excel 2010), but my x-axis has date and hour formatting (dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm) so I can't get Andy's solution to work. Has anyone come up with any other workarounds? I also have found that using the 'automatic' option will give every label, but only when the chart is stupidly huge and so once copied into Word doc the labels are illegible!

    Grateful for any assistance!

Hi Andy - thanks for quick response!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your approach, but I don't seem to be able to keep the date/hour formatting in column A. Not sure how to post attachments on here - new to this forum stuff

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Re: Excel 2010 not displaying all X-axis labels

It works as described in the other thread.
The axis labels are faked using the data labels of an additional series. In this case I add a line series, with zero values, then displayed the Category in data labels.

Hmm, I see. Simple and elegant - I like it. Thanks very much
