    Extracting data from graphs

I have several graphs(stacked) that show data from different time periods. one showing data from 01.2013-03.2013 etc. For each of these graphs there is an additional sheet showing the data for them. is it possible to extract the data from the graph without using the second sheet where the data is listed? if so i could half the amount of sheets i have to use.
I need to make one stacked graph showing period on the x axis, and then have the respective stacked collumns over them.

Isn't it possible to make the graphs from a summary sheet?

    Re: Extracting data from graphs

what im doing is; every 3 months a report is made, and it is on 3 sheets. on the 1 st sheet is graphs of the data on the second and third sheet + some other information not shown in the latter 2 sheets.
So far i have been using all 3 sheets, but im already up to 30 sheets, and would like to be able to remove 2/3 of them if possible. and if i could take the data from the graphs, 2 of the sheets could be removed.

    Re: Extracting data from graphs

And where are the data you based the graph on?

In your example i don't see any date, how do we know which section (quartal) it is in.

You need to provide more info.

    Re: Extracting data from graphs

Sheet 1-3 is the data for the first 3 months in 2012. There are several "3 sheets" identical to these, whith different numbers ofcourse. The graph i wanted is based a table i made that collects data from sheet:3,6,9,12... etc to make an overview like i showed. however this same data is shown on one of the charts in sheet1. Is it possible to ignore sheer 2-3's and just get the data straight from these charts?

    Re: Extracting data from graphs

I don't know if you can achieve this straight from the charts.

But as alsready said, why not create the new graph, from a summary sheet?

    Re: Extracting data from graphs

thats what i have done, but this means i have to keep all 3 sheets for each report, making me use 3 times as many sheets. what i would like to do is just use sheet1, and then just delete sheet 2and3

Then show an excel file, without confidentional information, but with also the date / more sheets etc.

The file you use, without confidentional information.
