Conditional formatting Chart Axis number type

After searching I am surprised I did not find this withing the first two page results.

I have created a table and chart of data. The data in the table is conditionally formatted to change from either number format or currency. The table is linked to a form control that controls what data is pulled into the table. I have charts built off this table and I would like the chart y-axis to change to currency formatting when Sales is selected from the form control.

Let me know if there is a way to do this outside of VBA as I am not good at coding. Or if an example if needed.
