Can't figure out how to correctly Pivot Chart a set of call logs

I have a data table that is essentially a call logger.

It has 4 columns: date, time, product, salesperson

I want to be able to analyze the data for things like calls by time of the day, calls by day of the week, calls by product, calls by salesperson.

I thought it would be really easy - but so far I have managed to get pretty much nowhere.

The best I have achieved is the count of calls per salesperson and product.

I am thinking that perhaps the time stamp is to accurate and I need to write a filter that says between 8 and 9 or something?

Any suggestions? I am pretty frustrated at this point.

Hi,
please look at the attached. there are lots of sample that hopefully answer your question. ive created some pivot data around a sample and changed the filters around to show different options you can do. The last one is "grouped" by month, and to do this you right click on the date field, choose group, then select the option that you want. Drag the fields around and see what changes, until you get the results you are looking for. I hope this helps you.....
