    Need Help Inserting Standard Deviation and Mean Into Excel 2010 Scatter Plot

    Ok. So I am having to make a scatter plot of some data in Excel 2010, which is easy to do. However, I am having to put in a horizontal line that represents the average value of the y values and also horizontal lines representing the first standard deviation and the second standard deviation away from the average. I have no idea how to do this. Please help!!! I've spent days trying to figure this out and need it done tonight.

    I have attached the data and general plot so that you may see what I am talking about.

    Not exactly what I needed, but it did give me an idea of what I can do to get it on there manually. I wasn't sure if there was just a button I could press that would input the mean and stdv on there. Thank You!!!

    So...I need the first and second standard deviations above and below it. I have put the new data into the table but don't know how to insert it into the graph...how do I do that part?

    Hi,
    After entering data, right click on the graph,select data and change range of your graph data. Also, please check message from moderator.
