    Pivot table column alignment

I'm sure this is something simple.

I'm using a pivot table to give total units and sales for an item number. I need then to each be in separate columns, but it lists them underneath each other. How do I get it to list the values in separate columns?

    Thank you!

    Re: Pivot table column alignment

I'm not quite sure a pivot table can do this, so as an alternative, why not build a table yourself.

Your profile shows 2002, but your attachment suggests 2007+

The table in I:K is using SUMIF which is good with 2007+ and more efficient....

EDIT: Sorry just found the solution you seek.

    Re: Pivot table column alignment

To fix your pivot table, take the VALUES out of the Row Labels and move to Column Labels.

Thanks newdoverman, you sure cleared that up. Couldn't have said it better myself...

    Re: Pivot table column alignment

I've got a trial version of 2013, but don't think I'm going to make the leap... so 2002 it is.

I moved row to column and that is a workable solution.

    Thanks guys!

    Thanks for the feedback.

Remember that with Excel, there is more than one way to "skin a cat".
