Titles on Charts from Pivot Tables

Hi,

I'm new to creating charts from pivot tables and am having a problem. When I create a chart with just one variable, instead of the variable name appearing in the legend, the word "Total" appears. "Total" also appears as the title of the chart. I notice that when I add another data variable then the labels change to Sum of.... I can go under Value Field Settings and change the names. But I just want tables that chart one variable at a time (because the variables have hugely different numeric ranges and can't be plotted on one graph d/t scaling issues). I could delete the legend and rely on the title and the field button to identify the data being displayed. But if possible, I'd like to have a properly named legend.

You could link the pivot chart title to a cell, I assume the cell containing the description does not change position.

Select chart title, in the formula bar enter full cell address, for example,

=Sheet1!E3
