Pivot Chart not automatically updating?

I have created a tab that has a designated "plot area" for "Location" information (which is based on a formula that pulls data from several different "Location" tabs). Also on this tab is a data validation drop box. Every time you select a different "Location" from the drop box, the information in the "plot area" will change to that selection.

I have already done this in another document, so I know it works...but, the problem is that when I create a Pivot Table and Pivot Chart based on the designated "plot area", any time a different "Location" is selected, the Pivot Table AND Pivot Chart will NOT change to mirror the new data...the information will stay on the first selected "Location" unless I right click and say Refresh Data.

Is there a way to fix this so that the Pivot Table and Pivot Chart automatically updates when changing data validation drop down selection? Thanks!

you can add macro to sheet, which will automaticly refresh PTs & PCs ...

Did you put macro on a sheet where you have PT or/and PC? Because this macro is triggered, when you select "the sheet" and it refresh PT & PC just on that sheet … same as you would select Refresh Data.

Also, you can use validation dropdown menu to trigger macro ...
