Overlapping charts help

I've just upgraded to excel 2010 and I'm struggling!

I have my data in a column chart, and I need to show a scatter or line graph on top to show a bit more data

So, in the columns I have types of charges, then in the scatter I want 'paid' and 'cancelled'

Can anyone help me with this?

1) Plot it all as the column chart to begin with.
2) Right click on a data point in the series you wish to change and select "Change chart series type".
3) Select the desired type and click OK.
4) If the ranges are wildly different then you can right click a data point in the series again and select "Format data series".
5) Select "Secondary axis" and click OK.

Is this what you mean?

Unfortunately you cannot combine the 3D stacked bar graph you had with the line graph for some series so I've switched it to a 2D stack.

Let me know if this is not at all what you meant.

how do i do it please?

Ive changed my chart to 2D, but now when i select the line graph, it makes my column chart tiny and changes the percentages to 2000%! im so confused
