Automatically filter Pivot Table using a variable

I thought I was an advanced user, but I am re-evaluating myself to intermediate. (I'm stronger in Access.) I have a workbook with several worksheets and several pivot tables. Based on the selection from a drop down box on the first tab, I want to automatically filter pivot tables on subsequent tabs. Is that possible?

Thank you for the offer. I may have a problem with a macro only because our security may disable that when the workbook is sent out to our other regions. But I'll see what I can do.
