Pivot Table (extracted data from pivot, in source formatting)

    Hi all,

    I've a question,

could you all Excel Experts help me by solving below mentioned prob related to Pivot Table...

To make a Pivot table we need a raw data....

when we double click or do show details then prob starts....

we generally get required data by just double clicking on that number....
but its comes without source formatting...

like if there are hyperlink in the source data then it should come under extracted data from pivot table....

below are some screen shorts for the same...

    Raw Data >>source file.png

    Pivot Table >>Pivot table.png

    Extracted Data >>extracted Data.png

    Excel >>

    please help me out.....

    Regards,
    Sumit Sharma

    Re: Pivot Table (Source

Can you attach a workbook instead of pictures, please.
let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source

    Okay, I understand you now.

It is not possible to retrieve source formatting (including hyperlinks) by drilling into a pivot table - the pivot table looks at data values only, not formats.

Probably. Would it not be easier to simply filter your source data, though?

Okay, so you want to loop through the results of drilled down data, and for each row, find the matching values in the source data, identify the hyperlink address, and apply that to your extracted data.

I'm sure, as it's an assignment, you don't want me to write it all for you, do you?!
