    Quadrant chart

    Hey, guys!

I need a guru to help me create a chart that I think could be named a quadrant chart. However, I don't seem to be able to find the solution over the net so maybe someone can help me with an example. Thus:

What I want to have in the end is a chart with four quadrants, where Y axis depicts Productivity and X axis depicts Attitude. The values should be from - 2 to 2 on each axis. If possible, it would also nice to give titles to each of the quadrants, for example: left upper quadrant called Disciplined, Left lower quadrant called Underperforming, right upper qudrant Top performer, right lower: Non-team player.

Ideally, each quadrant should have a different colour.

And then of course I would like to put various dots depicting employees in each quadrant. Can anyone help?

    Thank you in advance!

    Re: Quadrant chart

    Hi Agnese,
What you need is basically XY (point) plot.
and formatting both axis not to use automatic, but set min and max values.
    Se attached workbook.
There are 2 plots - 1st with one series for all employees - if you want their names swown I'd suggest free add-in XY Chart Labeler
Second with a separate series for each employee - then you can use series name as a label for each point.

Of course then there goes formatting etc.

And of course numbers for attitude/productivity are just random numbers - not my assesement of the people in the table.

    Glad to see it worked.
Sure, you can ask me directly.
But this forum is so populated, that it's probably wiser to ask here.
I am mostly active on our Polish excelforum.pl (the same nick : http://www.excelforum.pl/profiles/7838.htm ).
But recently we had faced some problems with server (hope it is over), so I made some contribution here.
    Cheers,
