Multi-Category Pivot Possible?

Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to produce the following Pivot Table:

Category	Count of Category	Sum of Effort
CatA	2	25
CatB	3	55

From this raw data:

ID	CatA	CatB	Effort
1	Y	Y	10
2	Y	N	15
3	N	Y	20
4	N	Y	25

Thanks for the suggestion, Glenn. The issue is that there are likely lots of categories across hundreds of records and I was hoping to be dynamic! In reality the data has a single "Category" field containing a comma separated list of categories (in no particular order). I'll have a play with your suggestion...

Pulling out a dynamic list of categories won't be difficult. Then the countif/sumif should follow through automatically. Ca you post a sample of how the souce list of categories looks?
